Welcome to our Pupil Referral Unit, where every young person is supported to re-engage with learning, build confidence, and achieve their potential.

We provide a safe, nurturing, and structured environment tailored to meet individual needs across multiple sites. Our curriculum is carefully designed to support pupils at every stage of their educational journey, offering Foundation Learning alongside Key Stages 2, 3, and 4.

• Foundation Learning and Key Stage 2 are based on the Orme in Llandudno, providing a supportive and engaging setting for our youngest learners.
• Key Stage 3 is delivered at Penmaenrhos, Old Colwyn, where pupils are supported through early secondary learning.
• Key Stage 4 is based at Penrhos Avenue, Old Colwyn, with a strong focus on qualifications, personal development, and preparation for post-16 pathways.

Prior to any admission, a robust moderation process is followed in close collaboration with each learner’s mainstream school and relevant professionals. This ensures that placements are appropriate, well-planned, and in the best interests of the young person.

Through high expectations, personalised support, and strong relationships, we help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally. We focus not only on qualifications, but on resilience, wellbeing, and preparing young people for positive futures beyond our PRU.
